Heart for Evil is a fictional true crime TV show with a dark, gritty tone. I created a highly stylized animated intro for the series, using 3D animation, complex layering, and unique effects. I wrote an original soundtrack to accompany the intro sequence, and used subtle sound design to add another layer of immersion.

The animation was made in Adobe After Effects, with much of the process being done in reverse. The final logo was created first, and each letter in the title was separated to a different layer. Then, the layers were strategically scattered throughout 3D space to create the illusion of randomness without looking sloppy. I then moved the cameras throughout the scene, added additional text and visual overlays, and worked in time with my backing track to create a cohesive audio-visual composition as the letters moved into position.
